New York City Around New Year’s

As a new year begins, it always makes me reflect on what I’ve done for New Year’s in the past. Two years ago, I got the chance to spend New Years in the Big Apple with a group of my friends!

We all arrived a couple days before the New Year’s festivities began, so that we could go into the city for one day and see all of the wonderful sights before it got crazy! Then, we didn’t go to Times Square for New Years Eve, but went to a club and celebrated the new year by literally dancing the night away!

Day of Sight-Seeing

We walked EVERYWHERE to see everything we could. Below are the pictures of the sights that I finally got to see and cross off my bucket list!

New Year’s Eve

After a whole day of seeing so many places (that my pictures DEFINITELY don’t cover), we rested at a friend’s house before getting dressed up and heading into the city!

We took the subway the first day (have to experience it all right?!), then just took Uber into the city to take us to the club, then took the train after our night of dancing.

Its ALWAYS good to be with people who know their way around that city, because there is just so much going on and we all almost got lost in the crowds after midnight trying to figure out our way back home!

I’m awful and don’t remember the name of the club that we went to for New Year’s Eve, but it had an open bar with the cost of the ticket! It was a great time, but as the night went on, the dance floor got more and more PACKED! By the time it hit midnight, it was so crowded that we looked like sardines packed so tightly into a can. It was not as fun anymore!

All-in-all it was a great trip and was definitely a bucket list experience!
